Diwali is the Hindu "Festival of Lights". It is celebrated every autumn of the Northern Hemisphere and is a representation of "victory of light over darkness". Traditionally, the preparations/rituals last for five days, but the most prominent celebrations occur on the third day. On this day, people will celebrate by wearing nice clothes, filling their houses with candles & lamps, set off fireworks, and have a family feast.
Join us and enjoy traditional food, games, and crafts in celebration of Diwali. The festival will be on November 7th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the IC3 (Intercultural Center & Commuter Cottage). Please join us for this wonderful festivity!
