https://laserinvolvement.lasell.edu/event/8746317In this interactive co-design session participants will learn more about ongoing impacts of systemic racism on communities of color in Boston, identify one major facet of this oppression, and individually and collectively brainstorm and design tangible approaches to healing and addressing this component of systemic oppression.
This workshop is among several initiatives Common Good Co-op offers in order to increase dialogue about the ongoing impacts of systemic racism and varied layers of oppression on communities of color and historically marginalized residents of Greater Boston. Common Good Co-op is a model of community innovation and social entrepreneurship led by residents for residents. Common Good Co-op also contributes to bridging the gap between theoretical frameworks and justice-based learning in Massachusetts’ many universities and colleges, with experiential and hands-on learning opportunities and engagement in historically disadvantaged neighborhoods of Greater Boston.
